Forgiveness

Forgiveness

Forgiveness is the fragrance that the violet sheds on the heels that have crushed it." Mark TwainHow do you forgive someone who has wronged you? Why is it important to forgive?  Please click on this episode and listen to my take on forgiveness.
Young children are the future of tomorrow.  It's important for them to understand that no matter how different they may be from others, that their lives matter. As parents we have a responsibility to teach our children about the power of kindness. It's also important to teach them that it takes all types of people to make the world a special place.Teaching children about the need to respect others that they see as different is a very important role we have as parents. Teaching them to embrace their own uniqueness is just as important. We must teach them while the are young, as we as helping them shapes their ideas about the world.
Florence Scovill said that the game of life is a game of boomerangs, our thoughts, words and deeds return to us with amazing accuracy.  In order words, "as a man thinketh, so shall in be (Solomonic Law). Therefore we must be militant about what we choose to think about as it relates to ourselves and others. Think poorly about someone else and you think receive just what you thought about. Mindful living allows us to be co-creators in the life that we desire. So therefore, we must control our minds; be the diligent rider and do not let your mind be the wild untamed, unguided elephant.Alene Mathurin
Everything starts with an idea. Sometimes we fail to believe in our ideas. Is it because we don't believe enough in ourselves and our capabilities? In order for an idea to become an objective reality, it requires us to work meticulously and consistently each day until we have accomplished whatever we intended too. We must not only be dreamers but also doers. We must not only have faith but we must be good stewards and do the work to accomplish what we set out to achieve.
Gratitude opens the door to receiving more in our life. I'm grateful for your support.  Thank you for believing in me.
We have the power of live and death at the tip of our tongues. What do we choose to speak about?
The most difficult people to deal with are people that are bitter. Bitter people see things very negatively and somewhat blame others for their past and current life situations. Of course, we encounter situations in our lives that are not favorable and they cause us to be angry. The key is not staying in that state day-after-day, month- after- month and year- after-year. It's important when unfavorable things happen in our lives that we truly access the situations objectively and occassionallly ask, what did this come to teach.
I'm often asked about my life, and how did I get the courage to find my purpose. Sometimes I chuckle because some believe it's because I'm a workaholic. Some think that I'm very disciplined and although this may bear truth, I know that my strength comes from God. It's that simple!Do I do the work- Yes, because "faith without work is dead." But I rely solely on the direction of God and I diligently seek after him for guidance. Please click on the link to listen.
For years you've listen to me talk about the joys of motherhood and one of the things I often said is how I wished that I had a home filled with children that I could raise. My only child, Elijah, is an absolute joy, he's now 16 and what I look forward to the most is the long conversations I have with him each day. Here's your chance to listen in while I speak with him about the things that he loves the most in his life.
"Live the life you've imagined. As you simplify your life, the laws of the universe will be simpler." - Henry David Thoreau.Often times when we feel like nothing is working right in our lives, this is the time to stop and we must recalculate the direction that we are heading. Of course, in life we'll veer of course but we must try never to get to a dead end. How can we do this well? Please click on the podcast to listen.
I'm often asked how did I discover what my gifts were and how did I decide when to use these gifts? In the beginning I found this question to be deeply personal but as I grew more aware of the fact that our lives are given to serve a greater purpose, I became deeply committed to share my story in a truthful way so that perhaps it would help someone along the way.In this podcast, I'm discussing very candidly about how I was able to find me and what this journey was like. Thank you for listening, I hope you can discover your own gifts and use them for the glory of the one who bestows the gifts on each and everyone of us.
It's in moments of contemplation when I shut out the world and spend quiet time, whether it's in nature or in "my closet space" is when I can truly hear the gentle, yet convincing voice from within. Truly "greater is He who's within us" and we are only able to recognize and connect with this greatness when we learn to be still and to listen. Join me on this podcast as I speak about the tripartite self and how I've learned about the power of operating in spirit.
"Forgiveness is the fragrance that the violets shed on the heels that have crushed it." Have you been crushed by "heels" that you never expected to be crushed by? Have you been violated by others? Have you been lied about? When wrong is done to you how do you react? Do you bottle all the emotions that you feel or do you lash out? And though I understand it's natural to try to defend ourselves from the attacks of others, we must realize that for the most part when people try to do us wrong they are in many ways, doing wrong to the false construct that they have about us. If you look at it that way it's easy to forgive. Have you noticed how it's so easy for some people to hate someone they never had a personal contact/relationship with? Again realize they are only hating a notion, an idea, and in many ways they are showing us how troubled the are inside. What we must do is to live in peace-this peace comes from a spirit that does not harbor ill-will, a spirit of love; and love conquers all things.
What Fuels My Passion

What Fuels My Passion

Thank you for joining me on my podcast. On this episode I will simply be answering some of the questions you have about the work I do and my passion. Want to know more about me, then join me on this episode.
Love is the world in which the Divine Spirit lives. The greatest world known to sages of all times, the world of which Christ speaks, is the world of Love. And when we say that God is Love, we understand that Love is the essence from which all things proceed. All worlds, through all eternity, have come forth and shall come forth from the source of Love.Everything in the world lives in Love and by Love.Everything that we see - stellar systems, suns, planets - all are manifestations of Love. The entire cosmos in its completeness, the whole physical world is Love, manifested and materialized. This is the great "body of God".Outside of Love, we do not know God. Love is connected with all living beings. There is not a living being - there is no living matter - that is not influenced in one way or another by Love, that is not closely connected with it.God, who is Love, is not only outside us, in the universe, but within us also.He is the living bond between all that is "without" and "within".Love- By Peter Deunov
Why were your created? What's your purpose? If you are so beautifully and intricately designed it must be in order for you to fulfill a purpose. When we examine the lives of great people even in biblical days we see a pattern; God had predestined their paths and gave them unique assignments. Even non believers tell you that they started truly living when they understood their unique assignment. Why did God choose David to slaughter Goliath when David had brothers who were fighters and had more experience in warfare than him? Why did he choose Esther, a woman who was raised without a mother and father? Why would he chose Moses who had a speech impediment. I believe each one of us have a unique calling, it up to us to find out what it is and stop doing what we see others are doing. Live in your most authentic self.
We all have been "Cookie Thieves" at one point or the other in our lives. Sadly we are so unaware of how much we are often wrong about something yet we are equally convinced that we are right at the same time. Perception is reality for the most part but our perception can often be distorted. Please click on the link below to listen to this episode.
